Description
The AlpiLinK (Alpine Languages in Contact) Corpus is a corpus of spoken language based on crowdsourced linguistic data composed of audio recordings and in a smaller part of multiple choice and written responses. The data is being collected during the AlpiLinK project (https://alpilink.it/). AlpiLinK aims to gather numerically relevant information about the Germanic, Romance and Slavic dialects and minority languages spoken across the Alpine regions of Italy with particular focus on the so-called ‘language contact’ between Germanic (Cimbrian, Mòcheno, Saurano, Sappadino, Tyrolean, Timavese, Kanaltal and Walser German), Romance (Francoprovençal, Friulian, Ladin, Lombard, Occitan, Piemontese, Trentino, and Veneto dialects) and Slavic (Resian). The data collection took place from June 2023 to August 2024.

Description
Launched in 1999, this collaborative initiative between the Autonomous Province of Trento and the University of Trento aimed to create a comprehensive electronic database documenting the dialectal varieties of Trentino. The project follows a scientifically rigorous lexicographic model, systematically collecting and comparing dialect terms from six distinct areas within the province. Coordinated by Patrizia Cordin, the project has greatly benefited from the technical expertise of Stefano Bernardini and the contributions of numerous specialists, including Giovanni Bonfadini, Lydia Floess, Tiziana Gatti, Gabriele Iannaccaro and Antonella Mott.

Description
The CLaM 2021 project (Cimbro Ladino Mòcheno 2021) is a field-based sociolinguistic survey that describes linguistic practices and attitudes towards minority languages within the Cimbrian, Ladin, and Mòcheno communities of the provinces of Trento, Bolzano, and Belluno. The research provides an updated and statistically significant database.
Thanks to the collaboration of experts from various universities and research centers (Trento, Milano-Bicocca, Forskningscentrumet för Europeisk Flerspråkighet, Vigo), and several cultural institutes (Bersntoler Kulturinstitut, Istitut Ladin Majon di Fascegn, Istitut Ladin Micurá de Rü, Istitut Cultural Ladin Cesa de Jan, and Kulturinstitut Lusèrn), the research provides insights into the sociolinguistic dynamics within the investigated minority groups and supports the design of initiatives aimed at enhancing the region’s linguistic diversity.
The survey was conducted with the support of the Province of Trento and the University of Trento (Policy Directions 2020-2022) and benefited from the support of the Trentino-Alto Adige Region.
