Description
The Interuniversity Research Centre “LinE – Language in Education” seeks to create an international, multidisciplinary network of scholars focused on language in education, spanning fields like educational and applied linguistics, language teaching, and subject-specific education. Its goals include fostering research on language’s role across disciplines and languages, examining linguistic and communicative elements in teaching (such as academic discourse, textbooks, multimodal interactions, and teacher-student dynamics), and investigating language models used by teachers in various disciplines and educational levels. LinE aims to raise awareness among educators about language’s importance in general and specialized academic contexts, address challenges related to inclusion and internationalization, and promote best practices across different educational systems. Additionally, it provides resources and bibliographical references on its website, disseminates research findings through publications and events, and engages the public through outreach activities like teacher training, science festivals, and social media.
